- Preparing the operating room prior to surgical procedures, including sterilizing instruments, preparing operating tables, and providing medical supplies.
- Assistance in positioning and storing the patient before, during and after surgery.
- Providing instruments and equipment during surgery and assisting the surgeon when needed.
- Monitoring the sterile field during surgery and adhering to strict hygiene and asepsis guidelines.
- Assistance in the use of medical devices such as endoscopes, catheters and surgical instruments.
- Documenting surgical activities and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Assisting the anesthesia team in preparing and monitoring the patient during anesthesia.
- Participation in further training measures and further development of one's own skills and knowledge in the field of surgical techniques.
- Completed training as an operating room assistant or comparable qualification.
- Active professional license and registration desirable.
- Application for recognition of professional qualifications / deficit notice (optional)
- Sound knowledge of surgical asepsis and hygiene practices.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
- Resilience and ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to changing situations.
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Sense of responsibility and commitment to patient safety and well-being.
- Basic knowledge of medical equipment and surgical technology.
- Willingness for further education and training.
- B1 German certificate (Goethe / telc certificate)
